Hello,
The .htaccess file will automatically be created once your domain will host on Linuxserver. You do not need to create it manually. You can find it inside the 'public_html' folder. You just need to place the code AddType application/x-httpd-php .php .html there to perform it.

I think I am on the windows server not the linux box... I tried creating my own .htaccess and it didn't work.. and what I want to do it to make a url that looks like this:
example.com/index.php to example.com/index without actually removing the php file.... I just wanted to see if there was a way from stopping apache from displaying file extensions. |

Windows uses IIS as a web server not apache, also there is nothing like .htaccess file in windows. Looking forward if there is any way you can do this in windows.
