Thread: Can Metadot Portal server be installed?

I was considering the professional plan, and I wanted to know if it would be possible to load Metadot portal server. Metadot uses Apache, perl and mysql.
The specific perl modules are:

A database must be set up as well as some other tasks.

Metadot portal server requires Oracle installed on the server and we do not support it on our Linux servers.

Metadot surely does not require Oracle. It does, however, require a database. It works beautifully with MySQL. I know; I installed, and ran it on a localhost environment. Metadot has the option of using Oracle database too.
