This is my first time with mysql and trying to work with a database. I tried to acess mysql through some shell feature in cpanel. I've searched through what I have and looked through these forums but I can't seem to find out how to get a hold of my hostname/username/password. Any tips for a young newb?

Hi,
Inside CPANEL there is an option called "MYSQL DATABASES" & "PHPMYADMIN". USING "MySQL Database" option you can create mysql databsae. After creating mysql database you've to add users to that mysql database. You can do that in the same screen of "MySQL Database". Once user and database is created, you can access that database using "PHPMYADMIN" option.

The other way is SHELL access. However, we're not providing shell access with any account.
