Hi folks. I've got a website hosted by MDS Internet, also known as Micro Data Solutions, also known as microdsi.net. My website has disappeared and microdsi's website has disappeared. Anybody know what's going on?

I also have a website and dial-up service through MICRODSI.NET.

My website has disappeared.

In the meantime, I've moved and have tried unsuccessfully for over two weeks to contact customer service by phone to discuss alternate dial-up numbers and/or an upgrade to my service.

No one answers the phone; no one returns my phone messages; no one answers my email messages to rob@microdsi.net although they are not returned to me; even the ISP website, which posts a list of regional dial-up numbers, has disappeared so I can't find a number in my area to dial up on.

The kicker is my credit card is automaticlly billed each month for this service!

Oddly enough, webmail still works.

If anyone has news to report, please report it.

I too am having major issues with these guys. 2 months ago, my adobe server went down. Finally fixed 3 weeks later. Then another portion of my website went down. This has still not been fixed, about a month and a half later. Now yesterday, every portion and aspect of my website has gone down, both retail and administrative, so I can't process any internet orders.

Like you all, I've called and called and called, emailed and emailed and emailed, to no avail.

This is seriously having an effect on my business, not to mention their own.

jeez...i realize they have all of us on their backs over these problems, but COME ON. This is not the way to run a business, especially considering all the trust we have to put into them.

I had a web site email and dial up service through MDS. My service went down during the first week of May but was back up in 1 day. Last Sunday, May 12th, my service went down and has not come back up. I called, left several messages, emailed from work, nothing. I work in the Ramsey area and went to their office on Lake Street. Surprise, the office was empty. I checked with the leasing agent on the premises, she said that they have been out of the 800 Lake Street building for about six months. Oddly, her web page which was hosted by MDS was up.

I think they are gone, Boys.

My credit card has been billed my monthly charge for June. Aside from a major inconvence, I am not materially affected. My sympathy to those of you that had been depending on them for your business.

If I hear anything, I will post here.

I too have been affected by the disappearance of Micro Data Solutions and just found out that they have been debiting my bank account $19.95 for each of the last two months, and in April, they took out $79.50. I found this website by trying to find out info on MDSI. I have a friend who is also affected by their disappearance. My bank advised me that they can attempt to continue to take money out of my account, even though it is not authorized. I am concerned that since they have been so unprofessional, and are taking money while not providing services, that they could attempt to take out a large unauthorized amount. Of course, it would eventually be reversed, but please check your statements and be aware.

They had about 5000 users at one point. There has to be a bunch of angry ex-customers. I have used them since 1997. We should take some action here quickly so that we are not forced to cancel credit card accounts to prevent unauthorized billing, etc.
I have been to the Ramsey, NJ police station. They are not located in town any longer. They may have their servers in another location so if anyone who has any information, please share it here.

First of all, your CC company will not stop accepting charges from a company. You must have the billing party stop the charges. The only way to stop this is to cancel the card, replace it and have your automatic billings re-established.
I really think these guys are gone.
