Windows 2003 Users

To view your website prior to name server change,

1. Login HELM Control Panel.
2. Click on Domains.
3. Select Your Domain Name.
4. Click Domain Alias > Add New.

This will create alias like yourdomainname.accuwebhosting.biz to view your domain name prior to name server change.

Linux Users
For Linux users, http://your-server-IP-address/~ftpuser-name

For server-IP address, refer our "Web Hosting and server information > Linux" knowledgebase article, locate your server name and related IP address.

Alternatively you can try http://www.whois.sc/yourdomainname.com to receive ip address of your server.

Thanks for your information.
DNS translates a domain name to a IP Address. Fist you setup your registered domain name with your DNS servers. Depending on the registar it could take some time for that change to occur. You can ping your domain name to see what IP it is being mapped to. On your server you will need to create a "A record" to point to the IP Address (server) on your network that is hosting the site. As far as adding a new domain, you do not need to do that. Do not confuse your local network with your domain name of your website.

How about checking it on "who.is" it will show you the information you need to view the webpage. Mine is just an alternative but the above post is already enough and very detailed. Just log in and see how it can also help you view the website before DNS transfer. SEO Services
